    I've been Lifetime for 10 years and have Lifetime Plus, if this is all it takes to put a game on a likely indefinite hold then goodbye to Lifetime Plus.

    What I would guess the "problem" would encompass is the games premise, grind time for mats to make better gear vs. your trainers’ ability to bypass that completely. This inherently would decrease players time in their game and limit their need to stay in game. In games like these, that is not a good formula, because the more time players spend in their game, the more likely they are to spend money on dlc, in game items etc. etc., if they can get it all for free, by using a trainer, there is no player interest in doing their events or finding groups, or when they are in a group, using the trainer, like they are advised not to, in order to speed through it moving through the game as fast as possible getting to the "end game" material. Anyway, point being, trainers in games needing and relying on RNG loot, which negate that, will not keep the player base engaged in their game generating money, so that may be problematic for long term sustainability (but not really in this case being that this game is on 3 platforms proliferated to millions of players already). This is a hard one, and I in no way want to be in your shoes, but I know my decision already, and I can say that CAPCOM will continue to make plenty of money with MHW and their other titles, on PC and other platforms with or without this trainer active, this I can 100% tell you is truth.

    I paid the cost for lifetime to use this trainer, and only this trainer.

    Considering that cost, to hear that this is on hold for any reason is a huge, huge disappointment. If it had been clear to me that there was a chance this wouldn't be available at some point, I would have kept my money.

    I feel like I've been ripped off.

    Just throwing it out there again...

    As Cal stated, they have requested the company to demonstrate that it is indeed the CH trainer causing the game's problems, as opposed to being other people doing other things: if they fail, we get the trainer back.

    This is far from the first time a trainer has been investigated or put on hold, and anybody who's been here a while should know that in these situations all it takes is one really stupid comment for the investigation to be canceled and the trainer permanently retired. So with that in mind, I again very respectfully, highly recommend that everyone just be quiet and let Cal do his thing.

    What I find strange is that Capcom didn't so much as bat an eyelash at people cheating on PS4 with a savegame editor, practically since release of the game back in february or shortly thereafter.
    But on the PC, people cheating is now a problem? Why? There are fewer PC players than there are PS4 players (by far), so it is relatively safe to assume that the number of people cheating online is higher on PS4 as well. Why go after PC players specifically? Because it is easier?

    @CheatHappens

    Is it technically possible for you to code a function into your trainers that hooks into Steam_Api.dll, checks for Steams online status and only allows the trainer/editor to work if Steam is in offline mode?
    That would be a way to make sure that people do not use your trainers/editors online, as Steam needs to run in online mode for the game to be able to do the same.

    People need to learn to use the damn trainer, it ain't hard to not use online.

    It's not even about that since "gamebreaking" cheats which are used online with other players are likely to crash your connection and drops you to offline/solo lobby.

    I don't mind people in my online lobby to use cheats on their side which don't affect me.

    What really annoys me since I'm one of them is the fact that some people actually bought lifetime for this Game. Although i use bunch of other Trainers this one was the one i used probably the most.

    Capcom just cannot stop cheating so they try to convince sites to stop creating Trainers.

    Same here, most played game lately by far (613 hours). The only games that I have more hours on that are CoH/CoV (dead game for a while now) and Skyrim (1152 hours, but I haven't played in years).
