For some reason, even though I have the trainer options mapped to the Numpad, the xbox controller is activating/deactivating cheats.. Whats also equally wierd, the joysticks now force the in game menu to goto different tabs, It never did this until this last patch. I am at a loss, ever since they switched controller layout to steam overlay it's been a wreck, I had to program the controller just to work right, now it's doing crazy stuff. YAY.When I want to accelerate my ship it toggles the Hazard protection cheat (right trigger) 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🙁

Seems like the official layout is forcing both Keyboard/mouse and Gamepad to operate at the same time.

Every time I want to jet pack the menu to call up a ship recharge stuff pops-up..

Can anyone please help? I just want to play the game, I don't want to learn the K&M config 3 years after playing w/ the Xbox/ps4 controllers...

I wanted to post an FYI as I couldn't find this issue listed under the No Man's Sky forums nor under the Trainer Troubleshooting guide.

For some reason I didn't have the .NET Core files installed as this is a pretty new Windows 10 build.

I went to the web site and grabbed the installer and attempted to install multiple times to no avail.

My user is a local machine admin but I ran as Admin just in case, same results.

The NetFramework directory was not allowing the installer to install the files properly and would error out.

Basically I had to go to the directory in question and give the EVERYONE group full control over this folder and subs, this fixed the issue with the install failing.

Rebooting also didn't help in my case but the above trick worked.

The strange part is that the admin group HAD Full Control so not sure why it failed but I chalk this up to some kind of Windows quirk/hiccup.

Synthesis update should be out today, (version 2.2) can't wait to see it, it's gonna rework a ton, so I expect it'll take a while to get the trainer updated, I'm patient enought to wait for a few days since HG decided to release an update on an American Holiday. (not sure why)

Anyhow, I'll enjoy the update on my pc whenever steam thinks about downloading it..

Don't get to excited, as usual the game is patching over and over every 10 minutes. Maybe it will hold up to this developer's lack of quality control and testing.
