CoSMOS Gamehacking Tool

After playing the game for an hour I came to section where an NPC told me I only had one shot at it, and if I messed up, that was it. The game wasn't kidding. However, I only failed because the physics made my character drop straight down the middle, where the two flippers couldn't reach the ball. The only way I would start a new playthrough is if there is a way to use Cosmos to circumvent this issue. Maybe being able to turn off save checkpoints on and off. Or perhaps tricking the game into thinking it was the first time trying it. I'm not sure exactly, but as I am a completionist I'd really like to get that part accomplished. Not sure I can progress further knowing failure wasn't even my fault, or at least the game did not indicate the geometry of the area I bounced off would do that. So if I could figure out a way to get past that, I'd be grateful.
