Could you please try to activate the trainer when you are in the actual game play and not in the main menu? Does the game still crash?

Please delete your current trainer and download it again. Clear the windows Temp folder and reboot your PC.
Do you use WinRAR? Please use the Windows default zip this time to extract the trainer zip file.

So i have try to make what you tell but i have the same issue in the main menu or when i play.
