Is there a way to clone an item in the inventory? I would love more than two Genji Gloves.
Unequip the item, go to a store, activate infinite item/potions use cheat, sell gloves and voila... you got 99 of the item, deactivate cheat to sell any amount you want

The Item Menu are fixed addresses
It looks like the address skips by 2. Example 2,4,6,8,A,C,E
Using COSMOS, scaning for 1 byte codes
Consumable Items start at
02183888 Potion
The last address I have so far are
02183906 Knot of rust
Loot Items
02183C50 Teleport Stone
The last one I have is
02183DF2 Bat Wing
I don't use MAXED out unlimited items for the very reason you are having.
For the life of me, I don't understand why address are always maxed out in value.
There also being a repeater code used to skip addresses like this one is as 2.
This can also cause a conflict because they are almost always addresses inbetween [consumeable, weapons, armor, accessories, loot, key items] not being used.
If you have these, and max out the item menu, then all those addresses wont let you pickup items in the game. This is why I won't use them. Once I figure out all the item values,[consumable, loot] I will post them.

I thought about using cosmos, problem is I need to be able to adjust the value in game such as selling the chops in order for it to register. If I cannot sell them then the value will never change and it will be incredibly hard to find the right code. Unless cosmos does not operate like CoSMOS. I don't know if changing the chops to the right number would still register for the cab guide.
If it helps you, the address for Pinewood Chop Qty is 02183E76 and Sandalwood Chop Qty is 02183E74. The Item ID for Pinewood Chop is 0x2113. The Item ID for Sandalwood Chop is 0x2112.
You can try changing your quantity to see if that helps.

How do I find that code for the chops on cosmos? I have been using the scan but there are no values of 99 starting with 0
So it seems using the Unlimited Items cheat actually breaks the game. When in Archades and trying to activate the cab guide to move on he does not acknowledge that I have any chops whatsoever. I have 99 of Sandalwood and Pinewood chops. Any suggestions anyone?
I suggest use that option only when selling materials, that way you can control which items amount stay at 99.
Well problem is I am unable to sell the chops to even bring the item down to where it needs to be for the cab driver to acknowledge it. I don't know if I can fix it.
Did you finish talking to everyone you need to for the Chops miniquest? I vaguely recall being stuck here way back when using action replay max for 99 of all items during PS2 era.
You need to proceed with the quest as per normal matching everyone with their counterparts or alternatively, buying from the chopmaster at the tecknik store.
Yeah, I talked to all the citizens and got every chop I could. All of the stores in Archades have that chop master and none will sell me more because it is maxed out at 99.
You can try to use the updated trainer which lets you change the 99 value to something smaller if you want.

Thanks for updating that! Certainly useful to be able to manual edit value changes in games like this.
I'd vote for the chaining option, but I'm not to 60k yet, and I'll probably be finished with the game before next months' LT+ point drops.
