However, looks like it's already broken, and patched and the patch list is a mile long.. is this game not been in early access forever already?

It used to be in early access forever yea, it finally launched out of EA now and suppose to be less frequent updates unless something is really broken.

it released broken.. to which there is an entire page of 1.1 patch fixes listed.. ridiculous

1.1 is actually the release itself. i haven't played it in months and recently started playing it again, and i gotta say the game is hell of a lot more stable then it used to be.

It really is. I can't wait to get a trainer for it so I can really dig into it and mess around. They did a freaking amazing job in the atmosphere of this game. You can imagine how this guy or you would feel if you were in a situation like this. Alone, cold, depressed, starving and literally suriving one fire, one food and one drink at a time in the beginning stages of the game. I am really digging the story that they added to the final release. It really does an awesome job at immersing you into this reality. Though I have heard some people complain of random crashes every once in a while. I personally haven't experienced a crash at all 9 hours in to the campaign.

Well, after Hotfix 1 from today (May 2nd) they already announced a Hotfix 2.

We today released a Hotfix 1 that should solve the map- and sled-related crashes.
Thanks to your crash logs and crash reports we were able to identify another possible crash cause. While this one will not be fixed in Hotfix 1, there is another hotfix in the works which will be released soon.

Looks like this game is indeed quite a mess.
Anyway, I am looking forward to the updated trainer.
