I know that this game is in retired state but ...

For those who try to use latest version of trainer "Tom Clancy´s Ghost Recon: Wildlands Trainer 2415526+ (OFFLINE USE ONLY)" and find out that with curent version of game (in date of writing of this post 02.12.2017 dd.mm.yyyy) it crash the game and you won´t able to load your game "clear"... Are you getting only popup window with "preparing game" and "sync of save games"?

Latest (and mentioned) version of trainer will create EACGuard.sys file in C:\Users\[your profile]\Cheathappens\Work (windows 10) which blocking normal function of EAC service.

So to be able to play without trainer again just remove this file. But you have to do it over safe mode of windows because this file is part of something which is loaded after boot of system (maybe driver). I am not creator of trainer so only somebody with enaught knowledge will be able to answer rightfully.

I found this by hard way (reinstaled whole system) and after second try same problem occured so I hope this will help somebody

This helped me. I had reinstalled Wildlands and went over the guide. Stupid file can't be deleted unless you're in safe mode.

Thank you so much for that! I got stuck a couple weeks ago trying to kill the Predator, after 90 minutes of dying over and over again I ran to this site and downloaded the trainer, didn't see any of the warning about it being outdated... and BRICKED my Wildlands game. It also crippled my Uplay copy of Watch Dogs 2, but none of my other Uplay games were affected oddly. I was able to temporarily fix the Watch Dogs 2 game with a commandline parameter that disables EAC service for that specific game, but Wildlands was still broken.
I've been going back and forth with Tech Support at Ubisoft trying to get it figured out, and then today I stumbled on this thread.
I get that the trainer is "outdated", and it was my fault for not seeing that. But why on earth is THAT the response to trying to use it?! It's one thing if you try to use the trainer and it just doesn't work anymore, that's fine, no harm done. But this trainer created a CheatHappens folder under my Windows user profile, and then creates this system file that literally CRIPPLES the game, and prevents it from ever starting again unless you log in under safe mode and delete that file? How insanely stupid. Needless to say, I think I'll be very wary of ever using a trainer again.

How insanely stupid is it not to read why the trainer was written the way it is and why we retired this trainer?
Good for health, bad for education.
