Do games get updated only based on popularity? I requested a trainer update for an EA title but was told the title is garbage and it will no longer receive updates until it leaves EA. I see plenty of EA titles that receive frequent updates....

please copy and paste exactly what was sent to you, who sent it, and if the game is indeed been removed off of the updates list.

Only three situations have I seen CH remove a game from the list of trainers to be updated:

The game is retired (really old and not being patched anymore)

The game is in alpha/beta/testing etc. Games that are patched *ALOT* are annoying to have to keep making new trainers for. CH generally that I've seen will wait for a title on this list to hit some milestone where patches are less frequent before picking it up again.

The game is multiplayer online and this can not be avoided. I've very rarely seen a game flat out refused a trainer, but they are pretty specific with why they won't update a given game. If the game is primarily online multiplayer, you'll likely not see a trainer for it. I've seen many EA titles with trainers made for them so I can't see that being a reason to not.

for the sake of comparison "Regions of Ruin" updates vs. the updates that "They are billions" receives.

You didn't answer Caliber's question. Post the specific text for the specific game which was not updated and who sent it to you.

Plus the title you are referring to was not made by EA.

The trainer for this game was released 7 days ago. The game has since patched twice in the last 4 days likely to it being in early access. The trainer has been downloaded a total of 21 times in 7 days. By comparison, Star Wars Battlefront II trainer update has been downloaded almost 1200 times in less than a few days.

When 3 or more people report a trainer needing an update then we look at it, regardless of the game's popularity or number of downloads. If less than 3 people in our 3M+ member database care about updating a trainer then there is little point in us spending a ton of time to update it only to have it broken by the patch released the next day.

When 3 people request update, the trainer will be updated.

Caliber sent me an email which i deleted. The email stated it was a crap title and because it was being frequently updated it was not going to get trainer updates until it left EA.
