Alas, I do exactly the same thing and do not get the same result. Some options work fine (energy range, food production, workers, energy production, i.e. keys 8 9 0 and /) but everything else gives me an error including the debug option (7). Why I get different results I cannot say. The version is the same (0.4.5. 64-bit) so you would expect it but ...

My system's specifications I am running the game on:
Windows 10 Pro x64, v1709 (Fall Creators Update), OS build 16299.125
Windows Defender (exclusions for the trainer exe file and the Work folder), SmartScreen is set to 'Warn', Windows firewall and Exploit Protection running on default settings
Latest .NET version 4.7 and both VC++ 2015 libraries (as the readme says)
Trainer ran with admin rights and options used as described
Good for health, bad for education.

Hmm, I also have a laptop which I think I will test the trainer on, that will have win10 x64 Pro too.
Anyways my usual gaming desktop rig has Windows 7 x64 on it.
I have excluded the trainer and temp trainer directory in my Bullguard antivirus setup.
Reinstalled the latest .Net version 4.7 (I say reinstalled because it was already there but never hurts to try). I do have a newer set of VC++ libraries that came with Visual Studio 2017 however namely : Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redist (x64) 14.10.25008 Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redist (x86) 14.10.25008
The ones you suggested would be downgrades (so I left the newer ones) nl. : 14.0.23026
Rebooted after installs, started the game, started a new session in the game, pressed F1 after the game time counter starts running (activates fine). Selected 5 units (4 ranger, 1 soldier). Pressed 6 ... and got this error from trainer : 1:39 PM: They Are Billions, Version: 0.4.4 64-Bit, Distribution: STEAM 1:39 PM: Trainer version: 1.10 1:40 PM: Error at #health - Cannot find AOB
Ran the whole show again this time with the trainer under Admin privs, same result.

Hi guys, there is a problem actually. I tried all trainer versions (0.4.0 > 0.4.2 > 0.4.4) of the game and all of them have the same bad image error as it stated that "ch-lib64.dll is not designed to run on windows or has an error". At first I thought there is something wrong with my computer, however I tried new trainers like starwar battlefront 2 and spellforce 3 then all of them worked fine. Is there anything wrong with the way you create the trainer for they are billions, I wonder?
My spec is: Win 10 Pro 64 bit Build 1706 OS ver 15063.786

@AngelFace: I've received your trainer and tested it on my machine and it runs perfectly fine. So the trainer itself is okay it must be something on your machine causing the issue. Do you have any tools running that hooks into other processes (as for showing an overlay) or any other security software besides Windows Defender?

Try to run it in admin mode, sometimes it don't work without it. You should also disable your av, or put the trainer in a map you have added to your av exceptions. Sometimes AV delete files from the trainers.
You need to extract the trainer again if your AV has deleted files from it.
