I use Cosmos daily and it hasn't affected my SSD at all. I see many people complain that some games effect theirs, DRM such as donuvo.... Maybe take a longer look before just throwing a accusation out that someones work or service has destroyed your SSD.
Hope you get it figured out

As it states in the documentation, if you are making huge random searches which has to dump it all the HD, then it can take up a lot of space. It's not "burning" your SSD any more than any other piece of software that puts files on it.

As @PWizard said that's probably from large searches. If it doesn't auto delete you should be able to manually delete the cache to free space.

You can set the scan temp directory in the options. Just change it to a folder on a normal HDD. (Btw, CoSMOS does exactly the same to your SSD like probably any other memory scanning tool, unless you changed the scan folder there as well).
//edit: Just tested with CE. Scan for 0 value type ALL on AC Origins and aborted scan at around 30% already took over 200GB hard disk in temp folder.
