Disconnect the internet and use an offline key and see if the trainer works again.

Unfortunately, I can't get the offline code generator to work as well for some unknown reason. Keep telling me it can't run the .exe file even when excluded from anti-virus program. Also, when I try to extract the files from the zip, it keeps telling me wrong password (it is my login password correct?)

His response was:
"no idea. Old trainers with old trainer template. May be that they completely changed the windows apis, which breaks the code in the old trainers"
So it looks to me this is not fixable, but kinda makes no sense because I have very old system setup with win7😳.

so far 2 with the same issue have been resolved by using the offline key and disconnecting the internet. Have you tried that yet?

Looks like this method is the only way to get pass that crazy error pop-up message box. Authentication over the internet is busted, it looks like. Could it be possible to get notification from u guys if a fix is found? Tnx for all your help.😉

Considering the API needed is for Internet explorer and it is now officially dead, they only way would be to rewrite the entire trainer from scratch to the new template. Given the age of the game, it's probably not likely to happen since a work around has been found.

I downloaded this trainer:

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen - Trainer 8917 (PATCH 12.30.2018 TACTICAL LEGACY)

turned off ALL anti virus, anti malware, all app and browser control, made sure windows defender all settings were off, then ran the trainer

runs perfectly fine.

Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2

OS build 19042/285

I have no suggestions nor can I fix anything as it works 100% here.
