Sorry to be a bother, but would it be possible to change the unlimited items to 98 instead of 99? I ask because when you equip/unequip items, the game will block you from being able to unequip if you have 99 of an item in inventory. Unfortunately, some equipable items cannot be dropped/sold, so you can get stuck with things equiped and can never take them off if the trainer set the inventory to 99. I would guess setting items to 98 would prevent this.

I support, it is necessary to reduce the value, or to give the opportunity to set the value.
Use character editor and you can change "Max EP" to anything you want, think 9999 is max maybe.
But I have to edit every time which is a hassle
I am looking for a way to keep the EP at 400 and will not drop from it.
Even if you edit you still used up the EP in battle.

I am stuck in chapter 3 due to the bonding cheat being activated, poor choice on my end I guess because now my save file is ruined and I can't go further into the game
I have the same problem, and started over. I didn't understand the game mechanics the first play through anyway.
this is bad enough, I would suggest adding a warning in the information page for the bonding so that people do not add bonding points until they need them or at least doing a save game. It is tricky because in early game you can max them without interrupting the game, but in chapter 3 they actually based progress on the even of the bonding points going to 0 as you use up the last bonding point.
