So I just got the game today, downloaded the latest trainer, disconnected the internet, went offline on Uplay, then I go to play the game and it says no connection to Uplay, can't play the game. Is there something I'm missing? I need to be offline for the trainer to work but it won't let me play the game offline...

To use this trainer:
Run the trainer
Run the game
Once you are at main menu, UNPLUG YOUR INTERNET FROM THE WALL
or FROM YOUR ROUTER.
Activate the trainer with F1.
If the trainer detects an internet connection, it will
automatically close and the game will close as well.
Just curious, as I'm motivated to purchase access to the software later today: Once used, (for instance, maxxing out the resources / skill points / levels to unlock all skill tree perks) - do those stats stay when I do go back online or are they reset to what UPlay's server has for you?
Apologize if this is confusing. I would presume that once the stats are unlocked they would stay unlocked (even if you go back online); just want to verify first.
The stats should stick but your account might get banned if the values do not match with your ie playtime.

Just an FYI.
Wildlands is scheduled for a massive update 6.5GB on April 14 for PC users.
First DLC to be launched on April 18.

Only thing I think that isn't working is sync shot cool down. I didn't test the skills and resources parts though.
I just wasted 15 minutes loading this game and testing trainer.. sync shot cooldown working 100% fine
