try this
Delete trainer and all files in
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and
make sure trainer in is folder excluded from virus scans.
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens
may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin and try again.
That worked and now it detects the game! Thank you! (keys are still unassigned but that's not a big deal)
Hey guys, just wondering what's going on with the Windows version? Didn't want to bother asking at first but now It's been months thought I'd ask. Hasn't had the same DLC update treatment as the Steam version has multiple times. Trainer does work on base game as I'm aware but not for the DLC and I see Steam has added options solely for the DLC. Hope this isn't a waste of a comment to you guys but just wondering since It's been months. 😀
we have 100 people ask for steam update, maybe 1 person ask for windows store update, which is 100 times worse to update and seems to almost have no players playing it. Also, a few titles like Call of Duty Infinite are not even for sale on Windows Store any more, due to the lack of people buying or the ridiculous nature of the WIndows Store and all it's problems. Personally, when the games update, I have to UNINSTALL THEM and REINSTALL them from scratch all over to get them to run again. Every patch. Some of the games I have to uninstall the steam version or they wont run. It's a nightmare. we need at least 3 windows store update requests, thx.
best,
Cal
I installed game via Steam on 2/9 and downloaded the 02.07 trainer; however, I repeatedly get a "game not found" when trying to activate via F1. I've alt+tabbed etc. and have never had this issue with other CH trainers. Can anyone advise?
I'm having the same issue. Tried all three things you guys list to solve the problem. Also would like to note that when I first started the trainer, all of the hotkeys were undefined.
Something happened with your hotkeys for this game..
delete file:
Resident Evil 7.keys
or similar file located here:
C:\Users\
I just made a custom keys for this trainer, and tested it, and custom keys work fine. Something must have messed up your file or it's reading it differently after the update. Delete that file and then create new keys and you should be good!

Cal
Do you have a smart screen filter enable, use a VPN or anything in your anti-virus that blocks things from you web browser?
NO ACCESS TO SITE error could also happen if there are firewall rules setup and the this site is not whitelisted, add www.cheathappens.com to your whitelist and/or firewall rules.
Also add C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work to your virus exclusion list, as it is blocking the creation of a needed temporary file by the trainer.

Thank you very much for your tip with the exclusion of the folder. That seems to have done the trick.
Still kinda strange, that otehr versions of this trainer and trainers for other games never caused any problem.
But at least I now can enjoy the trainer 🙂
