Do not use trainer yet, somehow something got edited in my game files. All new ships have no hyperdrive. I started a new game with no trainer. My starting ship has no hyperdrive now, this goes for frigates as well. I dont know how to fix this. It corrupted one of my old saves as well. If anyone knows what setting in the trainer started this and how to fix it please help!
Take a look. NOBODY is posting this issue. I certainly didn't have this issue. So blaming the trainer, it seems you are assuming it's the trainer, and not 300 other things that could have gone wrong with this big patch they just released.
Anyways, I have no other reports of this

there was a 1.2 GB patch that borked the easy easy craft option
the error message is below
Script error in line 1 Cannot find aob for Easy Craft New
if anyone else gets the error message then please put in an update request

Is it 4.05 you are talking about? If so I'm sure my patch was 1.7GB so don't know if I was already missing something, as other people have said 1.2-1.3GB.
I use most the cheats including the easy craft option and it has been working fine here.

I defenately have some weird shenannigans going on with the easy craft option.
The trainer's debug log shows no entry and the option activates no problem.
When i go to try to build something like a timber floor panel it just keeps saying "Cannot build, missing components"

To get free crafting to work with buildings do the following:
1. Sit in your ship.
2. Open your ship inventory.
3. Craft some random thing such as enriched carbon or whatever widget you want.
4. Get out of y our ship and everything should work fine.
Look it's likely all you need to do is craft something in your inventory, any inventory and then it will work fine. I did not feel like doing a bunch of load the game, test and load the game. I got kids....
Anyway. It works. I have done it a few times. 🙂
Edit:
You could also turn on infinite ammo, buy 1 of whatever you want then destroy it. For some reason it fills the stack up almost all the way. Then if you destroy it again it goes down to the original amount. Whatever works right?

Just putting my research in to point out that this method seems to work as instantly activating the easy craft option does nothing unless you go into your menu and craft anything.
Only then will you be able to easy craft. Go to a new mode and you'll have to repeat the process again.
