I think there is a key conflict with the trainer for the * button that is used. I press it and brings up the homepage of cheat happens.
Please wipe/clean your cache/Windows TEMP folder, delete any key customisation files, reboot your PC, redownload the trainer and try again.
There is any chance of the Fast Production option is working for the AI too ?

Please delete your old trainer, wipe/clean your cache/Windows TEMP folder, reboot your PC, download the latest trainer, run it with admin rights and try again with the latest/updated game version.
I don't know what is going on, but the game is crashing even without the trainer running exactly same date as 1939, 26th june.
I'm not sure I understand exactly what your issue is but did you try to verify your game cache with the Steam client?

Sure, as stated in the trainer instructions itself you should use all options only in pausemode...thats why you should read every instructions of each trainer BEFORE using it.

I have a problem with the manpower. I used this option and it jumped up to 1 billion. After a certain amount of time (probably half a month) it jumped again up to 2 billion and after short while it was set to a negative value (-1.29 billion).
Tried to give manpower via console but it did not worked at all.
