Dark Souls III Message Board  

Dear All,

I wonder, I bought the Dark Souls III game from Amazon, and nowhere did it say I had to use a Xbox gamepad to play the game. Yet no matter how I set the key binding, right as of the beginning of the game I have to press the A button on a Pad I do not have to read the very first message. Is there a way to disable the pad usage? because the key cannot be bound to anything else and some tasks become impossible.

Same thing happened to me on the just arrived Need for Speed 2016, same from Amazon and it only seems to accept Gamepad play...

Am I wrong or simply unwise as to the ways of the alternate playing without these Pad things? I like using the keyboard, over the years I play and never once look at the keys while playing..

It's a matter of taste, actually. It's easier to play the Souls series with a gamepad, but the developers improved the Keyboard/Mouse gameplay a lot in the last game. As for the Title Screen, sometimes it only starts the game when I click the message, it's probably a bug.

It should be fine, I'm about 25 hours in without using a gamepad at all.

I've been playing with my Scuf PS4 controller for over 30+ hours and no problems.

Well, guess what guys, I bought a Steam Pad yesterday got tired....

I played on PC with XBox wired controller. Is there something wrong withjumping key binding? Default key for jumping is strangely the press down left joystick. I tried changing to B. My character jumped but the jump is quite short
