It looks like the open beta is starting up on the 19th again for people who didnt get to play during the closed beta. There is also a slightly higher amount of content added into the coming up open beta as well. So for those folks who didnt play closed and are unsure about this purchase it would be a pretty good idea to try the open beta out to make that decision. Cheers

I played the Closed Beta and enjoyed it if the Characters created carry over to this open Beta might rank some of the others up and see what this "additional content" is as the closed Beta was very limited in what was available

Your game play in open beta does not carry over. Open beta just means free demo for everyone without a need of a key like close beta. UBI sucks in this aspect since it's basically their attempt of a MMO. However, unlike most MMOs that hold an open beta, they are not allowing anything to be carried over. You start over fresh when it opens live. I am not going to waste my time.

Well I'm more keen on what it was they added and what changes they've made if any with the feedback that most folks had during the closed beta. Characters carrying over or not doesnt really matter much to me if I'm honest.

I may take a look at this game with the beta, I have to admit though when I heard "Destiny" comparisons that scared me away but I'll give the beta a shot.

I've played a lot of MMORPG Alphas, closed and open Betas and almost none of them allowed for your alpha/beta progress to be carried over. Ever. Allowing that would only make the keyboard/forum warriors to cry and rage over the forums. I don't mind that they'll wipe everyone's progress before going live. Why should anyone have lvl20-30 characters 2 minutes after logging in on day one? Alphas and betas are there for testing, not demoing or jumping into the game early to get an advantage over the others.

As for the added content, they've basically tweaked the Dark Zone a bit and increased the NPC mob density, removed some glitches, turned on the anti-cheat stuff for PC and other minor stuff.

For those wondering, progress, be it from the closed beta or the open beta, will not carry over to the final release. It was confirmed by the dev a while back. Dont think anything's changed.
