For the life of me I can't figure out why the trainer doesn't appear in the file destination I have selected when I extract it from the rar. The trainer in question is for Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain. I disable my anti-virus temporarily and unblock the zip itself via the properties menu, but the trainer still wont extract to the file directory I've selected. I don't get any pop-ups from my antivirus or windows... nothing to indicate that another program is preventing the extraction. I'm operating on Windows 10 and I'm using Norton Anti-Virus (I get it for free). I've tried running the trainer straight from the rar but a windows pop-up stops the file from running. This is deeply frustrating and I have no idea how to fix it, any advice or tips would be appreciated.
Get rid of Norton, disabling it wont work, you need to uninstall it completely.
This software keep you safe by restricting your access to the WWW, not by catching viruses and malwares, they put you in a small box.
Microsoft provide free anti-virus/malware also
Here's what PWizard wrote:
"Please disable/uninstall all antivirus, firewall and other security software including browser addons and extensions. Right click "Run as Administrator" on trainer and game. Please note that some security products may still block access to trainer injection even when disabled and must be completely uninstalled. If this is the case, please contact the product vendor for instruction on the proper way to prevent the trainers from being blocked by their software or find a better alternative."
Hope it help
