That's actually just an ingame bug just for us PC users. It's to do with the Precision Aiming thing you can get. Turn it off, no more lock on problems ever. That or use a controller.

Ok, I May have some sort of clue for you.

I too was running into the issue with the trainer suddenly "not working."

It IS working, but not when tabbed in to the game, I have to alt tab out and click on the CH window to activate the trainer options.

Now, this started for me last week. This could have been a Win 10 update thing like others have said, BUT another notable change for my system, was I finally received my HTC vive. So perhaps the HTC vive installed some drivers that altered the way windows deals with background programs? Perhaps the other posters can specify if they too just recently received a Vive headset. I also bought "virtual desktop" off of steam.

I hope this information helps you narrow down the culprit.

EDIT: Should clarify that im not actually using the headset or virtual desktop while running into this issue.

I am sure users of that device will appreciate any feedback you have about using it. We do not have that device so we can only rely on users to report back how to use our trainers best with them

Just reinstalled JC3. install ran flawlessly, and went to use the trainer. set to admin mode, disabled AV and even placed the trainer in the game dir. trainer starts fine, start the game wait until main menu press F1 and says Trainer cannot find game. Ive troubleshooted as much as i can. i have the latest trainer from the site and im sure steam has installed the most up to date version. any ideas? thank you in advance!!! 🤔 🤔 🤔

Ember, did you try what I mentioned in my above post:

Start the trainer and game(no particular order afaik) Alt tab out of the game, click on the actual trainer window, then press F1, and the trainer options you wish. Hopefully you hear the "trainer activated" and the "activated" noise for the options. Then just tab back into the game.

This fixed my "game not found" issue, which as stated above, could be a Win 10 issue, or a few other theories.

Just in time a 4,4GB patch / update was released. Cool that the trainer is still active! Thanks for the support ofer the long time.

I dunno if it is just me but the new DLC updated and installed a large file to JC3 and now the trainer activates then hangs. Tried the normal fixes, admin mode tabing out ect.

Same here, latest updates killed the trainer. Not working any more. Not sure if are windows updates or game updates.
