To those who in prior posts (as far back as they may be) regarding reaching a point where the trainer presents a negative XP value - it happened around level 60 or so for me - it all still works! You just have to work backwards and subtract from the number, towards zero, instead of increasing the number - it's a little quirky but functionally operates exactly as intended only you're removing from the total the amount of xp you wish to gain, instead of increasing - I ended up with beating things with around -200 or so remaining from that counter so can't speak to if it goes into the positives afterwards, but just view it in the opposite way and it all operates as expected =)
