    Good {morning/evening}

I'm running W3 patch 1.08 so I downloaded the latest trainer. Since I have the GOG version, I dropped the trainer .exe in the game folder, C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64. The trainer thinks I have the Steam version and says the game is not found.

Did I miss something? Is that not the correct folder? thanks.

I had the same problem (1.08 patch under Windows 10).

I found I had to run the game under the same user account that the trainer was running under. I run the trainer as 'administrator' then do the same with the witcher3.exe process from Explorer and the trainer then detects the game and works fine.

If I run the trainer as 'administrator' but the game under my normal user account, the trainer just won't play ball (which hasn't happened to me in the past, but this is the first game I've tried to play on Windows 10).

I have all my CH trainers stored in a separate Cheathappens folder I created.
I am running Windows 10 Home ed. (that free upgrade thingy)
TW 3 is running 1.08, and I do not even have to run the trainer as Administrator for the trainer to work as intended and to it's full

I have only once experienced a trainer not working to it's full extent (Mass Effect 3) in witch I got around it using console commands along with the trainer, as only a few of the trainer options worked.

I always start the trainer and let it finish loading and do it's authentication thing, BEFORE doing anything else .. start game, fiddle with browser, close any music player or anything.

The trainer always works fine for my part, and as mentioned above, only ever experienced 1 single issue (besides from not reading trainer instructions properly )

The trainer works for me. Earlier i had a problem with patch 1.08, it stops at 74%, found a solution using Origin "cleanup app". After that the download was successful.

If the trainer doesn't require elevation, I suspect you're either running with UAC disabled or logging in with an Administrative account.

I always run under a non-elevated / limited user account and elevate when I need to. I'm guessing it's this specific set of environmental conditions which is causing the trainer to not see the game running.

There are 89 pages in this thread so perhaps this has been mentioned.... about Teleporting. You can teleport anywhere, even off the map, with this little trick. Do the F7 teleport to where you basically slide under the world (off the map or any failed teleport) then let the game raise the map on its own. At that point do the F7 again and you'll teleport to ANY spot you select.

I have a strange bunch of behavior with 1.08 and the latest trainer.

First off, I'm running Win7 x64. I'm using a Microsoft Xbox 360 controller for PC.

When I run the trainer under both admin and not, after I activate it (F1) and continue my game, the game comes up with all the meshes broken, the local area not populated, and a lot of weird movement and positioning with each controller key I press.

Does any of this sound familiar?

    Thanks

UAC is enabled, and so the trainers does of course require elevation before running. I am the sole user of my machine and do not use any additional accounts on it, as it can create confusion between programs and such, if installed across different accounts.

I lefty click the trainer shortcut on desktop, up comes UAC, and I select yes and wait until fully started, that means the
"Game not found" has to turn red before I do anything else, or as with earlier trainers, you wait until authentication is complete, as stated in the bottom of the trainer interface.

So I am pretty sure that, using a limited account, and non-elevated trainer is the cause for the trainer not working as intended, as the trainer would call for something system or memory specifics, that the limited account do not have access too.

    Yes and no.

Meaning, with first two patches my X-box one controller was acting weird as you mention, when I started the game, that I fixed by disconnecting my controller, start the trainer and game, and then connect the controller again. Though I do not use my controller for most of my games, only a few of them, as I am an old's cool ( ) gamer and therefore using keyboard/Mouse for this type of games.

As for the meshes you say, I think that is something completely else, and would probably look for some graphics related issue, Hairworks, antialiasing and such ?!? ... Dunno what graphics card you are running?!? .. But broken meshes are more than often related to a graphics issue, and could require some additional trial and error testing regarding drivers/driversettings and ingame settings.

I run with an I7-920 clocked to 3.8 ghz, MSI 780 gaming ed. 8 gigs 2133mhz ram. Everything ingame is cranked all the way up, High or Ultra, except for the Nvidia Hairworks AA witch is set to 0, and Shadows witch is set to medium ... I am able too pull 40 fps as the lowest with no issues anywhere. The Hairworks is a power hungry bastard setting, so try and disable it, as it is only for show off really.

And eventually, try disconnecting the controller and use Keyboard/Mouse instead.
