I'm having the exact same issue, splash screen to windows not knowing how to run it giving the option of internet/word/notepad etc. Tried everything in the link you posted. Deleting/reinstalling, clearing cache, restarting.

The previous 1.31 trainer runs fine as in it opens up. Not having any similar issues with any other trainer.

I'd appreciate any help/guidance.

I would start with antivirus exclusions and resetting the window 10 apps first (how to's are in the same thread) Then if needed, the SFC.

Did everything else as a scatter shot approach to see if it would fix it.

Tracked the issue down to WIndows 10 real time protection.

I have had the whole trainer manager folder in my excuslions list. Even specifically added the trainer in question I'm having problems launching but if "real time protection" is on it'll prevent the trainer from launching correctly.

Real time protection doesn't seem like it's affected or abides by my windows defender exclusion list. Any idea of how to address that? Additionally Windows won't let me turn it off forever, it turns itself back on after some time.

could be due to a temp file the trainer makes not excluded. Here are some that may need to be added to exclusions.

You're brilliant. Don't know which one did it but adding all of those listed exclusions fixed my issue.

Hello Team,

Just a question regarding the option Remove Toxicity.
This option work well during all the game but not on last DLC Blood and Wine it's only me or a problem with a memory location change in that DLC?

Yes, there were changes to Toxicity, decoctions, mutations, Manticore Armor and damage in Blood & Wine. Been several years since I played but I recall getting some fantastic damage numbers with Geralt and he became an unstoppable force. Here's some links and videos that should help:
