I've downloaded the latest trainer but it works fine on GAME PASS version of the game. But you need to activate the trainer at MAIN MENU and AFTER you logged into your game pass account (the ingame popup where you need to click on play).
I activate the game's main menu in the trainer, once activated, I start the saved game and it does not finish the loading process that automatically crashes with the trainer activated,as I said before, I may be doing a wrong step, but I can't post a video of what happens
No your not doing anything wrong or missing any steps, I'm having the same outcome as you.
Well that's something completely new. I've only tested the trainer activation as nobody said it crashes while loading your savegame.
Now after we wasted some time I'm able to reproduce your problem. I will send a fixed trainer soon.

I am having an issue that I can't quite seem to solve.
Trying to run the steam version of the trainer it fails to launch entirely. I have exempted both the file and the folder from windows defender but it still reports detecting a threat when I launch the trainer.
The larger issue however is that after the "Cheathappens customized for (Name)" banner goes away it asks me what app I want to use to open the file.
How do I solve this issue?
If it is relevant I am running on Windows 10 Home
What anti virus do you use?
I believe that it is just Windows Security.
I do have adaware as well.
Make sure its disabled and that windows defender is not blocking it, allow if needed.
Also make sure you have the .net requirements.
Have all of the following installed.
.NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x86 Link
.NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x64 Link
.NET Core Current Runtime x86 Link
.NET Core Current Runtime x64 Link
.NET Framework (get latest) Link
(Both x86 and x64 of the .Net Core MUST be installed)
Reboot PC when done.
