The dynamic difficulty seems to only be triggered by fleet size, not RUs. I only had a problem in HW1 mission 3 for sure, or maybe any other mission that has something that has to be rescued immediately. The super ship option makes everything else manageable.
For all of HW1 and most of HW2 the super ship option made any ship that I applied it to invincible for the duration of the mission. However, towards the end of the HW2 campaign I noticed that ships would start to take damage and die unless I repeatedly applied super ship. I then noticed that under most circumstances damaged ships that I then supered would stay invincible.
I don't want to take the trainer creators' time yet, but I would like to ask if anyone else has encountered anything similar to my experience. I had no problem completing both campaigns, but I just wanted to throw it out there in case somebody can help to nail down a pattern.
Yes you really had to reapply the supership in the later missions. HW1RM never really had any problem in my veiw.
Eventually a way to get around the unit cap would be nice too if its possible.

Numpad 2: Fast Build - toggle on and when building things, they will complete much faster. Also, this may allow you to build more ships than normal, etc.
