The Editor itself is easy to use. you just need to play around with it for a while to work things out.
I have found that if you dont just put 99999 in all the slots and just max out each field it works ok.
For example if you are doing Vader force strength is 500 and force modifire is 100 now when it come to mission and reserch values the first colume should max out at 255 and the second at 100 and you can put a tick in all the command boxes.With other characters force abillities you can set as 500 500 100 and start as Jedi but only some can teach other jedi. putting a tick in the available at start doesnt mean you will get them at the start either.
As for capital ship its easy you can put in what ever you want but i have found that Hyperdrive is best aroung 80 (donot mess around with too much or ship take ages to get to places)
I have my vic star des with a ship cost and maintenance at 1, Ai sensors and tractor at 100 for engins from top to bottom its 200 100 80. Hanger and cargo put in what ever you want mine are set at 40 40. Armament I have 1200 in all boxes but again choose what you want but I did a progression thing with all my ships, I progressed them so the were better than they should be but still not as good as the next one up. wep recharge bombardment and defence nock yourself out and go with 99999.
Fighter are easy just make sure ship and maintenance cost are 1 then knock yourself out. just not that no matter what you put fighters on in the squadron section you still only get 12.
Troops are the same as the fighter really until and maintenance cost 1 then knock yourself out.
Now specail forces gets a little tricky set unit and maintenance cost at 1. It doesn't matter what you change the mission values too it will only change the ones it want so you can put them all at 99999 if you want and save it but when you go back in and chaeck it after doing another some of the values will be reset but dont worry too much they still work. I myself wouldnt go over 255 the same as the characters.
Now this is where I start having problems Facilities I have found you cant really do alot here just change the cost and bomb defence. DONOT change the production as it screws everything up. That said can someone please send the default production value for both orbital ship yeard train facilities and contruction yards and mines and refineries as I forgot to note them down before I started playing with them and I cant start a new game until I have them, Thanks.
You will also see boxes that say rebel and Imperial, now some things can be swapped about other can't. I have a Reble game going on my laptop where they have Super Star Destroyers and Imp star 2 and Vic star 2 and the Imps cannot build them. You however cannot change who can build the Death Staer sheild but you can change the Death Star over. Now are you cant build the sheild as the Rebels there is no point changing the Death star over.
I hope this helps help anyone trying to use the editor and one last little note save each one you change and after changine each groupe save it using save in the file tab too.
