I seem to be experiencing an issue where any use of the cheats offered here disables the achievement system. Is this intended or can it be overcome?
This is very aggravating as one of the main reasons for downloading and using this trainer was as a workaround to bring me back up to speed after having had to delete my save-game file due to a game breaking glitch. (I was about 60% of the way through and was so salty about it I abandoned the game for over a year!)
Having spent so many hours in game I dont have the heart to do a complete do-over tbh but I would like to finish it. Can someone take a look and see if anything can be done?
Well, when you cheat you aren't really "achieving" anything like people who aren't cheating. We typically don't go out of our way to try and not disable achievements.
Well this is the first time I have encountered such an issue with any of your trainers. In fact on checking the trainers you have for games already within my library none of them in fact seem to disable achievements. Setting aside my point above that I wanted to use this as a fast track way of getting me back to where I was pre gamebreak tbh you haven't really answered my question.
In fact tbh your statement seems only to intend to shame me for asking the question at all. Which frankly is an oddly rude way of responding to someone who has been subscribing for many years.
Stetting aside this pointless digression however can you tell me if this is something that could be overcome or is it an intended result of using the revised trainer brought in since the last game update. I dont see anything in the guide etc that mentions this issue so I would appreciate the clarification.

It's definitely not intended, it's just not something that we look for when making our trainers (whether or not the options disable achievements). You can always put in an option request to have the programmer look into it.
I see; and can I make such a request or is this one of the tier locked functions?
Option requests are reserved for Lifetime PLUS members.

So after attempting to shame me for asking a civil question, insinuating that this is normal status quo for trainers (when it isn't) you now want me to hand over more money on a monthly basis to have the opportunity to ask the question again, wait to be approved and hopefully voted on before getting looked at??.....
Hmmm Well you very self assured I'll give you that.
You know tbh I'm just too old to be swayed by wheel spins and shiny little credit beads for the natives; they're are simply not what matter to me. Back in the olden days when I signed up to your lifetime service it was actually because having used and supporting this site since 2007 I really didn't have a bad word to say about it and the nice helpful people I had engaged with. Sadly times "and tones" have changed. More and more on various trainer discussion boards I come across snarky little pot shots or outright rude and dismissive responses from Mods and Site reps and that more than any particular objection to monetization is what stays my hand.
Dont believe me? Think I'm wrong or unreasonable? That's fine and probably to be expected these days....
but I'm not.

You purchased a Lifetime membership in 2017, not 2007. You have downloaded over 200 trainers during that timeframe. I'm pretty sure you got your money's worth. And no one was trying to "shame" you, I was simply stating the obvious. If you have to cheat in order to achieve something, be it a video game "achievement" or a school test score, then you really didn't EARN that achievement or grade. That's all I said. We're also not trying to force you to upgrade to a $5/month membership (which you could cancel after one month of making your request). That is completely up to you. Lastly, if our support were so bad, then we wouldn't have a 4.8 out of 5.0 rating on Google Reviews. Now I'm sorry if you felt offended by my response, again it was not intended. You could always contact the game devs and ask them to fix your savegame that they broke by their game-breaking glitch and restore all of your previous achievements. It's no different than coming here and asking us to do it for you.
As a point of order I may have purchase my lifetime membership in 2017 but I had been frequenting your site and buying trainers individually off and on since 2007 so I do know what I'm talking about.
Need a recent example? how about when I asked a question about how the trainer worked on the farthest frontier board which you ignored and made a joke about instead. Need another? go read the Vagrus boards. Not me this time, nope, just another older member being blasted buy a mod cause they "cant read".
But maybe you're right; maybe I've gotten my moneys worth so maybe I should just be grateful and silent and all us little people take whatever we're given and however we're spoken to.
Apologies I guess I must have misunderstood, that extra 5$ must be a civility surcharge.
Tbh there's no point in continuing this exchange; if you really think this is a money issue then you've missed the point entirely.
Pity.
Pity indeed.
