Have they patched or updated the game lately? I ask because I played it back in Feb 2016 and I made it thru the game. It wasn't easy but I did make it. Btw, I'm still on Win 7, too.

I read some other players say to use version 1.2 of the trainer with the Steam game so that's what I used. I had to disable the trainer in some sections too. See if the message I left back then about the mission "The Hunted" is any help to you now for that mission or the game.

Caliber explained about the game's Triggers and why it's not much use to upgrade the trainer any further so it might be worth it to try to do some of what I did. I spent a lot of time on that level. It can be frustrating for sure. It can also be a blast if you can make it thru.
