Run Origin in offline mode
Also you can go into settings and uncheck the following to be safe:

Automatically keep my games up to date
Automatically keep Origin up to date
Ignore non-mandatory game updates

I just did a reboot, relaunched origin, and dragon age, and didnt patch.


The only slightly usefull addition in the patch for me is beign able to completly disable tactical camera when using mouse scroll, that bugs the hell out of me.

Would the new trainer be necessary if I don't get the new patch from Origin? I chose not to automatically download patch.

Patch was necessary to even play the game. I bought the game from Amazon. but had to download from Origin. I will never get another game from Origin if it's required I be online to play it. That's bs. I don't play multi-player. If my internet is down, I want to be able to play my single player game. Steam lets me do that.
