So its not the trainer? Cuz I heard that level 27 is the soft cap but it goes to a infinite of level ups.

Until some one get past 27 without use of the trainer. The lvl cap idea still stands. As for how the trainer is acting. I would say there is something in the game code. But like I said someone will need to ligitamently get passed 27.
Just a heads up, after using the inquisition/power point option, it triggered a bunch of the companion approval conversations. (I believe it was the cause). I'm guessing approval has something to do with inquisition level. I'm not really sure, just thought I might say something in case others have the same thing happen to them.
Yes that and power opens new quests and areas not yet supposed to be opened.
Therefore only more perks - no power, no inq level increase would be best option, otherwise it messes with your saves and game world.
You people are the ones that asked for power and inquisition options so we added them.
Your intention is perfectly fine and option works as trainer says. Just seems that some people didnt realised that only actual perks are needed and helpfull.
Power level and inq level bring nothing to the game except story related parts and covnersations, therefore cheatuing them makes no sence since only thing it can do is to mess campaigns/saves.
Option to add just perks would be absolutely briliant and would prevent any possible issues.
