When I worked in post production, I met hundreds of both men and women porn "stars". With rare exception, they were idiots who didn't look beyond the next day and the next paycheck. They're only "highly educated" if your baseline for "education" is Laos.
Seriously, if you had a marketable skillset, you'd use it to create an enduring career that made a consistent and dependable income. Especially when you know that for every Stoya, Sasha Grey or Jenna Jameson, there are literally thousands of wannabes who never made it and washed out. Hell, look at Sasha Grey. Since "going legit", she's been in nothing but crappy, direct to video releases that you've never heard of.
You live in a fantasy world, where you want to believe that the people in the video you're masturbating to have fulfilling lives with day jobs and this is something they do on the side. The reality is that they are often broken, shallow people who have little or nothing else to fall back on to support themselves.
I'm not a moralist but I am a pragmatist and, pragmatically speaking, hooking up with a porn "star" is about as wise as betting on an inside straight.

I have more respect for strippers than I do 'adult film' stars, but not by much. I'd give one the time of day and that's about it. Besides, they're not all that attractive from what I've seen.

For most it is the only choice to make money in an environment today where it is difficult to make a living.
When I was younger I worked along side a girl, one of the nicest girls out there, always thinking of others and willing to help people.
She had to do some topless modeling and adult mags, not because she wanted to, but because she had to for her kids. She got a lot of flack from people in the town she lived, and because she looked like her sisters a lot some targeted her sister and slashed her car's tires etc.
Would I date a porn star, yes I would, at least they are nicer than "normal" people who take a negative view on things.
People are people. And you can't put all of them in the same basket because of the failures of some. That would explain why most of the world hates Muslims on a whole, all because of the actions of a very minute percentage of them that are extremists, when they are not.
It is about time the world realizes this is not the 19th century anymore, the Church does not rule, and people have rights and one of them is to work and provide for family.
May I ask, how much porn have you watched? A lot right? So is it not hypocritical of you to churn out how horrible these porn stars are when you don't personally know them when you actually watch them for your gratification?
