Hey everyone,

I'm having issues running the Gothic 3 Trainer 1.75. I'm using the Steam version of G3, updated through Steam to the 1.75.14 CP version. When I press F1 I get an error widow with the heading "Microsoft .NET Framework", the following text is in the error window, "Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

There are 3 buttons, Details, Continue and Quit.

I've tried running it as admin, closing antivirus', redownloading and alt-tabbing to the trainer before pressing F1. I'm just wondering if anyone has any hints? I know I can use the console, but I would just like to know why its not working.

Did you check on your .NET installation if it meets the trainer's requirement (.NET 4.5 and above)? Maybe your .NET installation got corrupted somehow and you 'll need to install it again. Please take a look here -> Link

I am trying to run the no community patch trainer 1.75 but when I open in it's asking me "how you want to open this .tmp file"

Check our our FAQ. It happens with old trainers. Just right click on the trainer and choose "Run as administrator".

Hey, so I redownloaded this gem of a game to play again and downloaded the trainer. I'm using the Steam version + the community patch 1.75. The thing is: I can't get the trainer to start. It doesn't recognize the game is running.
I've tried everything from the troubleshooting guides.
I even downloaded the other non-steam version (which worked... most of the time) but I wanted to give this one a try since it's easier to manage and control.
Any advice, aside from the regular troubleshooting steps?

Delete trainer and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer, extract it and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software which may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again.

Yeah, still no cigar. Again, the other version works and it's not that urgent for me to have both versions working, aside from prefering one over the other.
Anyway, it must be something with my version of the game/community patch I download. Maybe something went wrong with the instalation, or whatever, since it worked for everyone else
