    Morning Gamers and CH

I am trying to use my generated offline key but no matter what trainer I use it for it doesnt work, it always says "Authenticating Trainer" but then pops up with a message saying the Trainer needs to be authenticated.

I always let any new trainer authenticate online the very first time I use it before adding my offline key.

    Online authentication works fine...

I have no AV installed on my gaming machines, no firewall running, running IE 8 (XP Test machine) and also tried IE 9 on a Windows 7 machine. Read the CH FAQ, Generated several new new keys, new keys have been generated without any AV being installed. The *.key file is 2kb and contains data. Unzipped the offline key with different compression tools. tried 3 different computers on two different ISP's and routers, the trainer is running as admin, the trainer is running in the same directory as the game and also tried it in its own directory.

I have wiped two of my spare machines and rebuilt them with Windows 7 with SP1 & IE9 only and nothing else yet still the same message when running the trainer.

I have taken both machines and connected them to two seperate internet routers using different ISPs yet I still the same message.

Oh and I am a premium life member.

Does anyone have any ideas on anything I could be missing or could try. I think I have pretty much exhasuted everything.

    Many thanks

Did you put the .key file in the same folder as your trainer?

Windows (7 & 8) come with anti-virus installed and you'll have to make exception for trainers.

    Hope it help

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply

Yes the offline key file is in the same folder as the actual training and all Windows 7 (Windows Defender is disabled).

    Cheers

    Thanks

Offline keys will only work if the network/internet connection is completely disabled/absent.

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply...

Ha thats the only thing I forgot to mention that I had also done.

I have written scripts which either change the gateway address to a bogus address or I disable the entire LAN card altogether. This is when playing games at home connected on my LAN.

With both the two options above implemented as a last resort I have also disconnected the LAN cable but its still the same error.

I also take different laptops offline on trains / flights etc which have no net connection and its still the same.

    The trainer just sits on;

"Authenticating Trainer" then about about 30 seconds or so a message box appears saying the Trainer needs to be authenticated online.......... and a lot of other text.

Ive just tried this on my work laptop, and this being the 4th machine running through a 3rd different internet connection and ISP, its still the same when using the offline key.

Online is fine and authenticates within seconds....

    Many thanks

    Kilo

No idea. It sounds like it still thinks a network connection is available.

    Hmmm

Most strange there is no LAN network or internet connections active, not even wifi.

I have even unplugged the switch that it is plugged into, even though the LAN cable is out on the copmuter side, but also tried it plugged in with the switch off?

Its almost like it is not seeing the *.key file in the folder with the Trainer.

Any other thoughts of what to try, also what software do you guys use to find the values in the running game process?, just though id thrown that in here as they are most impressive , id guess your not using CoSMOS but something more bespoke?

    Many thanks again

    Kilo

No, not really. As long as the key being used was generated by using the key tool on that PC and it's in the same folder and nothing is blocking it, then it should work. We have tens of thousands of users using offline keys with no problems.
