well TBH, PS2 is an Ancient console, the PS4 is much more functional, and does a CRAP TON that PC won't...
Can't play The Last of US on pc, can't play Little Big planet 3 on pc, can't do much. So PC does have it's advantages, but most of the time it's severely limited.. Developers like the PS4 it's a powerhouse, and doesn't have 50 Billion variations like PC's do..

My considered opinion over three decades of playing video games on PCs, consoles, and other computers, is that consoles are best used for media streaming.
Except these days you can build a budget HTPC which is more powerful and more useful than a console for less than a console.
I have to agree with DAB. Hell the parts in a PS4 n Xbone you can put into a pc... Hell its just a consoled pc you are playing on. The new Gens do not have enough games to even still make it worth for me to go buy either of them.
I still rather stick to PC. If games companies realised that they should cover the PC side more as I know many gamers who buy the same game for their console and for their pc. Until Game Dev's actually put these games which are only on certain consoles on to PC. You can not say the PC's are limited.
Console exclusives are a disappearing phenomenon, anyway. Wait a year and they're on PC, with better graphics and performance and more features.
Oh yeah most of them end up on PC yeah. But its that damn time scale that ticks me off.
As a point made out that Controllers are good for certain things and mouse n keyboard are good for certain things. I use contolers for driving as I dont have a wheel. Also use them for my UFC n Wrestling games.
Oh and a quick off shoot they so need to bring wrastling to the pc. It would be awesome.
