Divinity: Original Sin Discussion
Nice find charle. Also it seems i might not have been exactly clear as to what to do for the groups generated by CE groupscan Quasi mentioned.
Lemme break down what I did:
Follow Quasi's instructions:
"This should generate search string like: 4:1 4:2 4:0
This corresponds to 1 Stat, 2 Ability, and no available talent points.
A) Press "First scan".
B) Go in game, spend 1 point from any category, and press APPLY button. Take a note of your new available to spend values.
C) Go to CE, Update search string accordingly, for example if you spent 1 Ability point, the search string will be: 4:1 4:1 4:0
D) Press Next Scan...
E) Repeat steps B - D until you are left with 3 addresses."
After you get the three addresses, load all three of them. You should now have in your selection 9 entrees. Change one of the values. You should see the exact same change occur with another value in the same spot. So lets say these are your 9 values:
4:4 <- lets say you change this to 2
4:4 <- this would fluctuate
4:4 <- this would also change to 2
The groups that do not have values that fluctuate are the ones you need to change. My guess is that you have to change the number being displayed in the menu and the number that the game recognizes as your attribute pool.
*Note* that like Quasi mentioned not everyone will have the same groups. So group 1 and 2 or 3 and 2 are might be the ones you need to change.
*Note* even if group 3 changed on its own you still need to freeze that value otherwise your changes in game wont be saved.
Hope this cleared up some confusion with my post or Quasi's post.
