FYI, I'm on Windows 10 in case it makes a difference, but the trainer still isn't working after the update. Same issue... first activation fails, second try locks up Aurora/crashes it.

I submitted a trainer update request, but I was also the one that submitted the trainer update boost, etc. on the last one. So, that's why I'm posting here instead of waiting for 2 more people to request an update.
Thanks.
try verifying/reinstalling the game
Just tried it.
Sadly all files were validated.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Are you using any mods? Or any special game configuration / parameter? Any opt-in builds or whatsoever?
Since I figured I knew where you were going with that and I wanted to make sure it's not on my end, I made a new game without any mods at all and still the same exact error and locked up Aurora after the second attempt to activate.
Also.. the game type is custom/star system and when I made the new game I didn't mess with any of the custom parameters.
FYI, this is the same issue I was having with TerraTech. I don't know if it was the same error, but definitely the whole... failed and then Aurora locks up after the second try. I've used dozens of trainers on Aurora between those two though without any issues since I've been looking for a new game to play
Don't rule out that I might be the problem though. I've been known to do dumb things, lol.

Dont know about Terratech but this here is a .NET game and it generates a native image using NGEN on start. This image can be different depending on your hardware / OS / .NET framework version. The trainer looks for a specific code in this image. In your image the code is different. But the game only uses that image, so there is no way around.
I was hoping it might be some mods altering this image generation somehow but if you say it also happens on a brand new default game installation then I guess you're out of luck.
What does that mean? Do I need to reinstall something?
You can try upgrading to Windows 11 but that is only a small chance. I'd rather say that you're just out of luck. Not your fault, not mine, its just how it technically works.

Ugh.. I have a new system coming in a month or so that has Win 11 pro because they had no other options. I guess I'll try it then.
Thanks for the responses and for trying to get it to work.
