I think i'm the only one experiencing serious lag with this game. What can i use to send my specs? I have a pretty fast PC that runs other games at max (Battlefield 4 etc).

This game is rather poorly optimized.

best way to increase it is to turn off reflections and tone down shadow quality. That at least made the game actually lip sync with character's speech.

I'm not getting the issue with lag some people keep talking about.

I'm running the game with these settings

    1920x1080 v-sync enabled
    Textures High (highest setting)
    Environment Very High
    Antialising FXAA
Shadows High (might toy with soft shadows later)
SSAO (HBAO is more friendly with nVidia cards and I have an AMD)
    God Rays Enabled
    Everything else at maximum

    My aging rig: Q9550s @ 3.72GHz, 8GB 1066MHz DDR2, Radeon HD6970, Auzentech DTS Connect sound card.

Game runs without a hiccup. I'm using the Catalyst 13.11 beta drivers right now. Maybe nVidia has a driver update (final or beta) that may address some issues. I can say that I wish the game supported HDAO along with HBAO as HBAO is nVidia's accelerated implementation and HDAO is AMD's. Regardless, using SSAO produces similar results to either of the previously mentioned ambient occlusion options, and may improve framerates.

    Is your V-sync on?

In previous AC games, I had a feeling of input/camera lag when V-sync was off. Perhaps its worth a try.

    What about your average fps?

His PC specs along with what game settings he's using would be helpful.

So far, from what I've read. Most people with issues seem to be using nVidia cards. Specifically newer high end cards like the 680 and 780 series. nVidia has been sort of lacking on the driver front with the 780 series in particular.

One thing I will say is that the game doesn't seem to need much in the way of CPU juice. The most I've seen my old as heck Q9550s pegged at was 70% (it's typically between 35-45%). Same with RAM, 35% of my 8GB of system RAM is used, and about 2GB is for the system itself. So you should be good even if you've got only 4GB of RAM (this is a 32-bit executable after all).

So it all really boils down to GPU horsepower and drivers.

Using a 690 here, no issues whatsoever with the beta driver on Gforce Experience.

Everything is max with v-sync on and blur off - 1920x1080.
