I didn't think a personal review of a game was new to the game topics!

Well, if one phrase is considered a review to you... DAYUM.
But seriously, you should say WHY you disliked the game instead of creating a topic to say you DIDN'T like the game outright.
I'm 28 and, like others said, this game is a godsend for people who actually care reading to feel immersed.
Back when we were kids, text was all we had in a game... We learned to like it, and having graphics in games this day is just a plus.

again I am happy you like it. I didn't like the tiny game character format, sluggish game play. and I personally couldn't tell what the heck was going on half the time. But looks like I'm in the minority group of people who do not like it. I only bought and tried it because it was so cheap and there hasn't exactly been much to choose from this month. I'll hold off buying for now, looks like my type of games are coming out towards the end of August.

All the way man (I'm 35, read the SR books, played the pen & paper and most games). This one: BORING. What annoys me most is the lack of voiceover. I don't mind reading at all but the text is so damn small that my nose almost touches the screen.

@the grube: I recommend Binary Domain. The reviews were mediocre but I got it during summer sale and it's heavily underrated.

Oh no, I don't think you're the minority group that doesn't like it.
The gaming industry changed. It's almost a little Shadowrun'ish how the big companies control what games get to the marked.
And the mass of people runs after them, mindless puppets that spend their money, no matter how bad a AAA game is.

The era of the indy games just starts. And people like me - who didn't play a good rpg (or any really good game for that matter) in like 10 years will be able to get what they want at last again.

There's nothing wrong with this game. There's much wrong with today's publisher-released games though.

So i think you will be in that mass of people that would shun really good and immersive games with great atmosphere and story and rather go for "rpg's" in the modern manner:
A -> Cutscene -> B -> Cutscene -> Cutscene -> C -> Cutscene -> Boss -> lmao

Same here, I was beginning to think I was the only one that saw this in the game. I used to like games like A hitch hikers guide to the galaxy in my old Amiga days,but I have to admit I'm addicted to the new technology in game play.

The book "If you give a mouse a cookie" is what comes to mind for me about people's mindset on videogames nowadays lol. though there are plenty good modern games, people just tend to dive in every game with the same high expectation that it'll be 'epic' in all levels of gameplay. Personally i'd rather have a well written and interactive rpg over a rpg that focuses more on shiny lights and pretty colors over good gameplay.

Personally I think its better with both - shinny colors and well written games like Mass effect and Skyrim The Elder Scrolls. Not point and click hard to read games with ant people. That's just my opinion I could be wrong.
