Company of Heroes 2 Message Board  

I have an old system but I can still play the new games just fine until this one, it seems that when I start the game the screen has a black background that flickers for a few seconds then fails to start it pops a message up that basicly thinks I have an old version of DirectX installed however I have the latest version on my system, has anyone else had this issue and I would like some suggestions on how to resolve this issue.

What version of DX are you running currently?

some games seem to be using version 10 and some older games version 9 I checked microsoft updates and it shows I have the latest version installed, this is the first game this computer doesnt seem to be able to play when I first tried to play it steam version by the way it said it had to install DirectX before it could run it Im redownloading the game and reinstalling it now hoping it will solve the problem.

Try running DirectX 11 if you haven't already. A couple of other people seem to have had this problem and updating to 11 (even though 10 is still fully viable) may just fix this.
