if you are having trouble with the grim dawn trainer make sure you are using the 64-bit version of the game and you are not using mods

accidentally set my level to 1059 and now the enemies have all disappeared.

not sure how I managed it, some sort of ham fingered thing after trying to update skill levels.
the problem seems to be that somehow it turned off all monsters and enemies in the game and the maps are all barren.

is there a way to reset my level back down to close to what it was before? maybe that will fix whatever happened.

try the level editor or create a new save

I managed to knock it down to 259 but the maps are still empty.

guess I'm stuck. no idea what else I might have done.

Do you have Windows file history turned on where you can revert to a previous version of the savegame or any other kind of backup?

Yes it is not working because it has been updated and the old one is not working because of it. I put in an update request in for this so you guys support the update request ok.
