Please use the trainer option request system for requesting new options be added to this trainer and/or vote on options already requested.

Hi everybody !

Yesterday Windows 10 Pro version 1809 was intalled on my gaming computer (a desktop). It replaced Windows 10 Pro version 1803.

Today I used the Trainer Manager to update the trainer for Grim Dawn 1.0.7.0 to version 1.0.7.0 too.

I have a problem I never had before with the series of trainers for Grim Dawn : the F1 key does NOT activate the trainer and if I activate it "manually" by pressing the "Activate Manually" button the trainer is activated but... when in the game all the keys of the numeric keypad are ignored as if the trainer does not detect them being pressed !

I have tried a few other trainers for a few other games I have and they all work as before. I am puzzled so I'd like to know if other users of the updated trainer have the same problem as me.

I also noticed for the first time that the F1 key is by default used for both activating the trainer and the "Change reputation of the selected Faction by" option (which affects the game). It is an apparent conflict but maybe it is supposed to work as it did in the previous version of the trainer. Anyway the trainer does not activate even if I use a custom key instead of F1.

I have also checked if Win10 1809 had the .NET Framework 4.7 installed and yes it is installed.

I also tried Ctrl-H to activate or inactivate the trainers hotkeys but it changed nothing to the trainer options function in the game.

I have also deleted the trainer and reinstalled it using the Trainer Manager : no change to the problem.

Any help for me ?

you are not alone. I have the same problem. I also cannot activate the 1.0.7.0 trainer with F1 at main menu anymore. It's a weird problem. Activating at main menu via F1 worked like a charm with any Grim Dawn trainer before.

My make-shift solution: ALT-TAB to trainer, activate an option, ALT-TAB back.

I think we can configure the video options of the game to use windowed borderless which frees the mouse and we don't need to Alt-Tab any more. However, the shortcut keys make the trainer more usable as we use less time, provided they work but they don't work right now.

Do you think it should be reported as a trainer bug ?

Just posting to confirm, F1 to activate is not working for me either, also on Win10. Manually activating trainer and options did work. Game crashed after a little while, but not sure if thats the trainer, as I also got a crash trying to load into the game without trainer active.

At first I could get to the main menu. Now I can't. It just freezes at the page before the main menu or crashes.

When, in the past, I could get to the main menu, I faced the same problems as everyone above. F1 doesn't work and no "trainer activated" sound. I've attached my crash report to the Devs. Hope that helps.

A new release of the game (1.0.7.1) has been shortly followed by an updated trainer and the shortcut keys are now OK (they work).

In 2017 I posted in this thread with the issue that Num6 (Change selected skill level by) wasn't working.
I have since then replaced my old pc and today reinstalled Grim Dawn. All the options work except for this one. When I select it, it changes my character level instead.

What I do:
1> Activate trainer.
2> Press S to go to skills
3> Click on and/or hover over the skill who's level I want to increase.
4> press Num6. I hear "Activated"
5> Notice no skill increase, yet my character level has increased.

What am I missing?
