I'm using windows 7 & have waited (as far as everything seems to allow) for each step to complete.

I'm still can't get the trainers to stay.

    Thanks for the try, guys.

Anyone know how to fix this?

What is you I.E version? if it is 10, downgrade it for 9 or delete it like i did. who uses I.E anyway?

If you need further troubleshooting then perform a clean boot (that is disabling services and startup items that are not released default with Windows). This can be done from the msconfig tool.

True.. And besides even if you do use ie the difference between 9 and 10 is negligible.

-Sigh- If you look up stupid in the dictionary you can see my name beside it.

After being SO sure I didn't have IE 10 I just found out..wait for it..I DO.

My guess, given that everyone of you has warned me of this is that it is what is causing my problem, is that I need to get rid of IE 10 to solve this.

Gentlemen, THANK YOU so much for your help, I'll get this fixed ASAP thanks to your fine guidance (even in the face of my abysmal thickness).

I would additionally open Windows Update and block IE10 from the list so that it doesn't reinstall itself though automatic updating.

Downgrading from IE 10 helped. I guess I should have upgraded to 11 to see if that helped. Not going to try now.

    Thanks.
