Please create a scan exclusion in Defender for the Work folder located here -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\ , clear Defender's scan history and quarantine should you find anything in there, clear these locations
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp\
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work\
reboot your PC and launch our editor with admin rights again.
Thank you for your reply Taurusplopp,
While I appreciate your response and your help in this matter I have completed your advice.
However the trainer .exe is bugged and may need to be looked at whoever created it.
I have tried this exe on this desktop pc, my gaming laptop, and another household pc
all have the same conclusion, and that is upon executing the .exe it appears to launch then ask which program I wish to open it with, which clearly is not the proper execution of a CH trainer.
here is a snapshot of how the trainer appears to be extracted in my folder as it does in the other computers I downloaded it to (Please see link at bottom)
Notice the number 12217-cgd442. this may indicate that it is an account injection issue when creating the trainer for me, as I don't normally see a trainer with a number infront of it like that.
Thanks for your help.
Chris.

The trainer exe is not bugged and the naming for the trainer is correct an normal. Something on your PC is blocking or interfering with it. Over 1900 other members downloaded and using the same trainer and they are not complaining about it not working.
I have tried it on 3 different computers, nothing is interfering with it as they do not use AV. Although it is clear that something is different with this trainer version than any others I have used from Ch.
Regardless of the number of downloads from other folk, I have noticed by reading some of the comments other people had a similar issue with how the trainer functions upon executing, so it might be a unique issue with version of windows or something else.
thanks.
Please start reading the conversation I had with fellow member -JaY- here -> Link and see what solved his issue.

Good Man Taurusplopp,
While I excluded previously the work folder it didn't seem to work so I tried just excluding the whole users folder after re-reading your conversation with Jay and that seemed to work for whatever reason I am unsure but at least it now loads.
Of all the years I been download the trainers from here this first time I have to go to this length to get a trainer to load.
But your method of excluding both the trainer installation folder and the path via users to work folder for windows defender is sound.
Thanks for your help.
for some reason when i start the trainer (via trainer manager) windows (10) tells me to choose a standard program to open it with. (regarding on how to handle .tmp files)
starting trainer manager. starting COH trainer. cheathappens banner comes up like it does on evvery trainer. then windwos promt. trying to open it with the editor shows nothing / windwos tells me it doesnt want to cause its supposed to be a virus.
i have no antivirus active. every other trainer downloaded from CH via trainer manager is working.
kind regards
Bryan
Try resetting your windows default apps.
Also make sure you have nothing blocking the trainer or trainer manager either Anti-virus or other programs.
