I encountered what I would consider a bit of an odd issue with the trainer.
I start the trainer, then the game, and when the game has launched I press F1 to activate the trainer, and this is where it gets weird.
I get the activated message, followed by a please wait message, and none of the trainer options seems to work.
I never encountered this before, and it was working fine until just a few hours ago.
I waited several minutes with nothing happening and nothing working, so I alt tabbed out and found the trainer was not responding.
When moving the mouse pointer over it turns into a circle as if its loading, and when I click on it I get the standard windows message saying the program in not responding and the choice between closing it or waiting.
So I was curious if someone here had an explanation for what this is and why it happens?

It's because the CoH2 trainers are auto-updating now. Everytime you press F1, it starts searching for the values needed to use the trainers so that this trainer can be used across multiple updates so long as nothing drastic is changed. Because it has to search for the values each time, the trainer hangs for several minutes after you press F1. Just leave it be and watch a youtube video or two until it gives you the prompt that it's working.
Hey Combat' , you seems to understand trainers and the inner workings.i noticed the AI enemy,in this case Germany.when they are starting out, a handful of their units seem to have 2 or 3 star veterancy on them.do you know if this the trainer doing this or perhaps they are just upgrading themselves..?
I don't play as them so I wasn't sure ..
Are you playing Campaign such as Ardennes Assault? If you are and that's where it's been happening, then it's part of the story. Before you begin a battle, read the page that pops up. On the upper part of the page, there'll be some red text that tells you what you're going to face including possible veteran forces. From what I read of the trainer notes, all the options only affect you and also, there's no option for veterancy

hey combat ,thanx for the reply.no this is on the base game .I only bought as extra the western forces dlc.ardennes was too much money for my tastes.so this is in skirmish ,like 2v2 or so .I notice the AI ally doesn't get vet troops to start but the AI enemy does a lot times.at least the inf units do.reminds a little of Wargame air land battle where u cant trun certain options on cause the enemy AI will have it too,lol..
it's not a deal breaker or nothing,i just have to supplement early on running into vet units with a light vehicle or something..
Well, I haven't played the base game in quite a while but from what I can see from threads on CH and Steam, there is a German commander that can give his troops experience through his commander abilities. Maybe this is to cause for the veteran forces?
