While I do take advantage of the 'defines.lua' under the common directory of my mod, you can delete it with no effect lost aside from how often your council members can be sent on new jobs. If it does cause problems, I am always prompt to update it.
My Western Roman Empire mod is still in development.
I've renamed it to 'Western Roman Empire' as a few people thought 'Western Rome' sounded a little off. I agreed.
I also created a new Kingdom of Rome, this is the new starting point. You will be required to claim all of Sicily and Italy to form the Kingdom of Rome. It has a few unique events to go with it, I am working on more but I am only one person.

Also, you are now required to take over the HRE to invalidate any other claims to the WRE. At this point you are allowed to reform it.
You will be able to forcibly end the Great Schism by placing Catholic priests in Orthodox churches and converting the 5 main churches to Catholic. This will make Orthodoxy a heresy of Catholicism as the pope now has full grasp of all Christian lands(except those who refuse to change, but holy wars to them, I say!).
