this trainer is for 1.0.0.5 and it does work for the 1.0.0.5 gog version...tested and working...almost finished with the game in fact......

I am running the hd version. It is ver 1.0.0.5. And it works. I think on the main screen or somewhere it will tell you what version you are running. Or find the main run file and right click on it. Look under detail. It will tell you the version of the file.

Doesn't work at all on windows 8 32-bit or 64-bit. Nothing works.

Why you even talking about it in the general forum anyways, the game has its own sub section of the forum
There is different distros of the game, from Steam, from GOG and to Gamersgate. It could be that the binary (aka .exe) is different for each.
Also make sure no security software is blocking access to the files.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA
