I just got the Borderlands 2 trainer, and every time i try to activate a cheat it activates from the main menu, but the game crashes when i try to load into it, i tried starting the trainer before i launched the game and afterwards but the same result happens. HELP?

I'm reading through the troubleshooting guide and so far nothing has worked, from what i'm reading it seems like the problem is the fact that its activated through steam? i installed it through a DVD though..

DVD is steam copy though.
So it should be fine.
But make sure the installed version is the same as the trainer version you are getting.

Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer.
