let me guess. they added advertisements to this old game so you would know that the new game 2205 has DLC content..

well check it at some point.. no eta.. why they patch these old games I have no idea, unless they are using them to advertise for new games, which isnt really a patch anymore.

as expected, the game .exe is the same, the trainer still works, and all they did is add advertisements and links to the new anno game from uplay.

version lower right is v2.00.7790

30 minutes of downloading, installing, uplay updating, autopatching, and then testing trainer WASTED..

Having had to install a new HDD (don't ask!) and reinstalling Anno 2070, it has patched and updated to 2.00.7780 (which I thought was the old patch). For some reason the trainer doesn't seem to recognise the game is even running, much less activate. I have redownloaded fresh copies from the site but no joy.

I really do appreciate the work you chaps do and please forgive me if I am being a cretin, but any suggestions?

So yep, paint me embarrassed. Running as Admin solved the issue. I am, as ever, a grateful member. Merry Christmas all!

You running game and/or trainer as Admin?

ANYTIME I TRY TO USE THE TRAINER THE GAME CRASHS AND ITS END HIS SELF DO I NEED TO DO SOMMETHING BEFORE STARTING THE TRAINER???

MAYBE YOU HAVE SOMETHING BLOCKING THE TRAINER CHECK YOUR AV, ALSO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE NET REQUIREMENTS!
