Legend of Grimrock Message Board  

This guide tells how to easily unlock toorum mode (special hidden game mode) in legend of grim rock.

Step by step:
-Open notepad
-Write "Toorum was here." without quotes.
-Save as toorum_lives.txt to C:\Users\*yourname*\Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock
-Start legend of grimrock
-Start new game and create party
-Name first character as Toorum and press enter

Tadaa! If done correctly you should be able to play as Toorum, the former resident of grimrock dungeon.

What's the difference between a regular game and a game playing as Toorum?

In toorum mode instead group of four you play only one premade character named Toorum.

Toorum moves twice as fast and is special class called ranger(caster fighter).

Umm but when you read the article it tells u that you have to play the game almost all the way through the first time before u can get the Buddies with Toorum Achivement. Shouldn't you say that?

Actually "Buddies with toorum" isnt required to unlock toorum mode this way.
It is just achievement.
Toorum mode is built in game mode that isnt tied to steam.

This step by step does indeed give you the special play-through with the character mentioned.
