Mass Effect is too huge a universe to stop after ME3. While there may be no Shepard in subsequent games, I have no doubt there'll be more ME in the future. There's a huge history to explore before the events of ME1, events which could take place during and between each of the three games, and plenty of opportunity to explore the repercussions of the ME3 ending (if the spoilers are correct in that they all share the same galactic-level disaster).

Ahaha... repercussions... Reaper-cussions... I should probably sleep more.

As for the BioWare forums, I've come to the conclusion that developer forums and specialist site forums are 90% filled to the brim with elitist *******s who think they should be on top and making all of the decisions. If they don't like something then everyone should not like it. If someone else doesn't like something they do like, then they're just wrong. Avoid them at all costs I say.

Also the launch trailer's up on the ME3 site, and I think I'm in love. This next week is going to drag on so slowly...

i really hope u're sooooo right Sky. because i'd hate to see ME franchise come to an end. even without shepherd there's so much to explore so much to do. for one..i'd say lets start to re-build after ME3...new adventures.

I hope they do not stop it. But I thought I remembered seeing something that the Mass Effect Series would finish after ME3 :s

They have said this is the end for the Shepard story line, but not necessarily the Mass Effect story. I'm sure they will do more Mass Affect games but with new members. They also said they are looking into the possibility of a MMO.
EA is the anti-Midas touch company. Everything they touch turns to garbage.

i pray no mmo. wow and SWTOR is proof that MMO gets the company money but they sell their soult o do it. they loose the original story and what makes the game so interesting. if they need to expand of original model then just sell me a ipad with the story as a book, about as useful in long run.

also they said in interview after ME2 and i am paraphrasing a bit but what they said was like "mass effect was always designed to be a triology in and around cmder shepard finding and possibly defeating the reapers base don player interactions. saying this though we have been looking into many side characters stories with overlapping adventures int he same universe/time frame so do not be to supprised to see us do a future series with events that explain/get worse with some of sheperds more famous antics"

I agree, I hope there is no MMO. I prefer the single player stories. However, I fear that Bioware with some pushing from EA will put out an MMO and they will mess it up.

Sadly I do not fall for those milking games. I play them on privates. Cause its not right to charge such high subscription fees.

I agree wholeheartedly. This is literally the only thing that keeps me from buying MMO games like WoW.

Games like Starcraft 2 that require constant internet access do not bother me, and I'm glad I bought that one.

In my last job there was a guy that has spent over €5000 on the game already... no offence, but in my mind that's just absurd.

Edit: and as if the subscription fees weren't bad enough, they EVEN have in-game shops to get ALL THE BEST L33T ITEMS 4 UR CHAR!
